ARCHVIC MAGAZINE FEATURES SAHMRI PROJECT

The South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI) project was designed by Woods Bagot, Aurecon and Norman Disney Young.

The project called for intelligent options to control heat transfer through windows, with the overall objective of the building to ensure it achieved an energy efficient and sustainable result.

DAAC Holdings was briefed on the project to supply and install a product that helps manage indoor heat and cooling, and helps lower the building's energy footprint. DAAC installed motorised Vertilux multi-blind systems, using Somfy motors with links to the building management system.

The SAHMRI building makes a striking statement within Adelaide's CBD.
